I seemd to have lost the manual and i am thinking about purchasing a camera that is 9.1 megapixels, I also have a canon xti that is 10 megapixels.

But I dont want to upload it on my EPSON P-2000 and make it short circuit andultimately kill or put my other photos indanger.

thanks!

xoxox, I know nothing about the p-2000, but I found this

The article stated that while the p2000 would not display pics larger than 8.9 MP, it would store them OK. Robert

Here's the User Manual for the Epson P2000: http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/p2k___/p2k___u1.pdf

It's available, along with other stuff, at: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...egory=Products

According to the FAQ for the P2000:

Q: Can the P-2000 display JPEG images taken with an 11 megapixel digital camera?

A: The P-2000 can display 11 megapixel JPEG images if firmware 02.02 is installed on the viewer. Firmware 02.02 makes it possible to view images taken by digital cameras with up to 17.8 megapixels.

To check the firmware version, select Settings from the Home screen, then press OK. The firmware version is located in the lower right corner. If it says 01.01, you can only view JPEG images from cameras with resolutions up to 8.9 megapixels. To upgrade to firmware 02.02, please read Product Support Bulletin PSB.2005.03.001R4 for instructions.

I would go with the Firmware Update v02.51 on the Drivers & Downloads page.

xoxox

You had started two separate threads on this issue. So, I've merged them into this one thread to keep the replies in one place.
