I bought a new Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT camera and the software disk that came with it will not download to my computer. I am still using a computer that is Windows 98 SE. Anyone have any ideas how I can download the pictures to my computer? Is there any card reader that will do the trick? Any advice or help will be appreciated. andy74

San Disk and others make card USB card readers that have 98 drivers

However if your computer is that old (ie slow) you may have issues proccessing the images.

If you choose to spend the $20 on a card reader, and it works, you're set. If it doesn't, then you've got a card reader you can use with your next computer.

What tjsnaps is talking about is that, once you've got your photos on your PC, you might not be able to do much with them. That's a seperate problem. And if you've got MS Office ('98 or 2000) you've got Microsoft Photo Editor which is a nice little program. I still use it (under Vista) for some things.
