Could somebody share their experience regards Standard SD cards and Ultra etc.
I have been using 2GB Sandisk SD cards in my Canon S3IS AND AT 640X480 recording pixels/ normal compression for still images.
Now I have changed settings to Highest 2816x2112/low compression and wonder if my 2GB standard cards will still be good.
I have no intention of using the movie recording option and never take more than 4-6 continuos photos and that is not often.
I need to purchase a few more cards because of the change but is it Standard or Ultra?
Appreciate some wisdom.
Cheers

If you don't shoot video and you don't shoot continuous, the cards you're using should do fine.

The S3IS has a Buffer Warning indicator (described on pg. 20 of the User Guide. If this indicator never comes on, you don't have a problem. If it comes on occasionally, you may want to get some faster cards. If the camera stops taking photos because the buffer gets full, you need to get some faster cards.

Thanks TCav
That's good news. I'll now buy some more standard Sandisk 2GB SD disks
Cheers
