Default Best SD card?

Im about to by a Minolta Dimage Z1. It comes with a 16MB card.
Of course, I MUST buy a bigger one. I thought 256M for longer movie recording.

I checked prices of SD 256M cards form SanMar, Lexar, Panasonic, ...

Which brand do you suggest? (Panasonic are MORE expensive).

Thanks!

Buy a Lexar brand, they are very fast 32x speed rated cards and priced about the same as the slower brands out there. We use the Lexar 256MB SD cards in just about every new camera that we test and review - including the Z1.

Thanks Steve!

What do you think about the reported Z1 problems? (weak Mirror/shuter system for EVF, battery compartment door and AF noise during movie mode)
Im still trying to choose between Z1 and C-750...

The jury is still out on the reliability of the EVF/LCD mirror assembly, it could be prone to failure. We did manage to wreck one here but it was dropped rather hard on a carpeted floor. The shutter no longer completely closed over the LCD when using the EVF and part of the EVF view was blocked. If given a choice I would stick with a regular camera that has a seperate LCD for the EVF.
