Default Sd Card showing error in Camera

Hello, newbie here so sorry if I have posted in the wrong thread, My daughter was using her camera (fugifilm)last night and was all fine and dandy, but today when the camera was switched on the message on screen is "Card Error", she is gutted that she has lost all of her photos is there any way I can fix the Error on the Card?
Sandisk adapter, Sandisk 2gb micro card, I have tried it in various other devices ie Dsi, and lap top but nothing is recognised...also downloaded card recovery but it is telling me there is nothing recoverable.....HELP!!!!

Hiya again JimC tried all of the above but seem to be getting nowhere?
and all the file downloaded are encripted? see below...am I doing something wrong?

LOADHIGH only has an effect if memory management software is present and upper
memory is available. If this is not so, then the program will load and execute
in conventional memory.

For starters, it sounds like you are trying to use the wrong software (i.e., LOADHIGH refers to trying to use a DOS program).

Make sure to use the Windows version if you're running Windows. It's the second download link on this page (not the first one).
