Default Transcend Class 10 SDHC looks good! Great price too.

I just ordered a Transcend 8GB class 10 SDHC card and from the reviews and benchmarks it looks very, very good. Price is sweet also ... about 25$.
For example: write 17.0 mbs
read 19.9 mbs

BTW one strange thing (See images below) ... the 4GB model seems to have slower writing speed 10 mbs (written on package) ... compared to the 8gb 16mbs ( also written on the package ) So I bought the 8gb model rather then two 4GBs.

When mine comes ill post my benchmarks.

I use a Transcend 8GB class 6 and have had no issues whatsoever. Burst shots with super hi-res images are no problem. I was even able to film some short videos on my T1i in HD. Came out pretty well considering the source.

I got mine on sale for $19.99. I'd recommend it for anyone on a budget

Default Benchmarks

Benchmarks of Transcend 8 GB Class 10 vs Transcend 8 GB Class 6. I used two programs: H2testw and Flash Memory Toolkit. (With my desktop PC and my external card reader ... so please keep that in mind.) I presume the results from Toolkit are more relevant as h2testw is not usually used as a "benchmark" tool ... any comments are most welcome.

Tested with H2testw 1.4:
Transcend 8GB Class 6
Read: 16.3 Mbs
Write: 9.01 Mbs

Tested with H2testw 1.4:
Transcend 8GB Class 10
Read: 18.7 Mbs
Write:13.4 Mbs

Below you will find the benchmarks using Flash Memory Toolkit ver. 1.20. Top is the class 6 bottom is the class 10.

It looks like you're getting a lot better write speeds with the Class 10 card (of course, you may be able to get faster times using a different type of reader, as USB 2.0 is going to be adding some overhead to it). For the money, the new Class 10 card looks like a good bet.
