Default Buying memory cards

Hello,

i am trying to find out from where should i buy SDHC 8gb memory card.

I saw Newegg, but it doesnt ship worldwide. Any Other sites that you may know guys?
I can find easily through ebay, but i read that there may be some problems with the cards, even with reliable sellers...
The cheapest i could find in my country is around EUR 30 for an 8gb..

Also would you recommend a 16gb or 8gb? I am afraid of maybe 16gb will let me down due to errors and then i would be left with no photos in a long journey...

Based on your experience, what would you suggest?

Thanks!

If you take allot of video, get the 16, if for causal video and mostly photos. The 8 will work fine.

Most manufacturers have their own on-line stores. Give them a try.

I prefer not to put all my eggs in one basket. I use several 8GB cards instead of fewer large cards.

OK thanks!

Did you ever had any failures with memory cards?

I have been using them on cameras and mobiles since 2001 (about) and never had a card failure, only once a card was not working from the moment i bought it, but that was just it...

I've had cards fail, but either they were very old and/or well used, or they suffered abuse of some kind. Use anything long enough and it will fail.
