I always carry a spare just in case a memory card gives me some kind of failure indicator on the LCD screen or fails to be recognized etc. So I would say get 2 cards, 1x 4GB as the primary card and 1x 2GB as a back-up.

Now 1x 256GB ??????? I know they are shipping 64GB cards now...... 128GB cards are in the works but 265GB????? I have hard that the new SD card form factor which exapes my mind at the moment can handle 1 or 2TGVB in the long run......

But the way I have a 16GB as my primary card with 2x 8GB and a 2GB as back-ups extra cards for long shooting......

I use for my < 1000 cameras only 8 GB and 16 GB class10 Transcends, class10 not necessary, but they are cheaper than class6.

For my tablet pc I use a Transcend class10 32 GB card, because it has the same price like Transcend 16 GB class10 :-)
