Default Can I use CF card for data backup?

Here is the deal. I have Canon A70 camera and fujifilm 256 mb CF card.

If I buy a CF card reader, would it let me transfer data/files from PC to CF card? I know I can use it to transfer pictures from CF card to hard drive.

I have some files I need to save as backup and I don't have a burner. 256 MB is more than enough for me to backup. Any info would be extremely appreciated.

TYIA.

Yes, it would operate just like an external drive with removeable media and you can transfer data to and from the CF card just as you would to a floppy disk

Bill collector,

Been using them for data storage for a long time. They work wonders a bit slow versus some other media but hell, the price is great and you cant use other media in your camera afterwards.

Also, if you buy one of thos $10 PCMIA adapters for laptops you can simply insert them into the PCMIA slot in just about any laptop and think of them as a portable hard disk.
