Default CF memory card discontinued?

I went to BB to purchase a CF memory card and the sales person told me the CF cards are being discontinued. Is this true? They only had one size CF in the entire store. Had I known this I don't think I would have purchased a Canon camera. Why did Canon put this cards in there new cameras anyway? The other cards are smaller and much more available.

Absolutely not.

CF cards are a lot faster than any other type, so they'll be around for a long time.

BB may stop carrying them, but even that's not likely.

I don't think CF is going away for a while, but can be a little harder to find in some places. You can get a CF-SD adapter if you want to be able to use the smaller cards.

First and very important, never trust a single thing that a BB salesperson has to say. I've seen way to many that were so full of @@@@ that it makes me wonder why they ever thought it was a good idea to open their mouth.

LOL, thanks to BB for giving me a great laugh just before heading to bed.
