Default Which Memory Card should I buy

I just purchased a Fuji S4000A from HSN. It does not come with SD card which is necessary for operation. It seems to be fairly high end.
Implications are that a SDHC card should be fast enough to accomodate the camera. I am shopping for a 16GB SDHC card and want to get one that is sufficient without going overboad. Camera has motion video with sound.
I was looking at SanDisk which offers SDHC Extreme both in a class 6 and a class 10 with cost almost twice as much.

Any suggestions?

Buy a cheap & good card - f.e. Transcend Class6 (or Class10 if cheaper) - and forget Sandisks with fantasy names and printed READ speed for dudes with too much money.

Get a 16GB class 10 SDHC card from Transcend. Check out newegg.com for some of the best prices on memory cards (at least it was the best prices when I bought my 16GB transcend card 2 months ago.

Can these transcend cards be bought in a retail store, or only online. I have just ordered a Fuji hs20exr, and will need one also. I would rather buy locally, because my wife is getting tired of staying home waiting for the delivery dude......J4c

tanscend, delkin, panasonic, sandisk, lexar, and kingston are all good cards. Just find one that meets your need and price point.

Thanks turtle. I was reading some horror stories about some cards not working at all, and did not want to have to wait weeks on end for new one to arrive if I have to send it back...J4c

you can find transcend at local stores sometimes. But not as common as sandisk, lexar or kingston. I only know of 1 store in NYC that stock them and the is JR.com
