Default SD & SM Wrte Speeds

Does anyone know of any studies or comparisons of the write/read speeds of various SD & SM card manufacturers.

Are any manufacturers cards slower or faster than others?

Thanks

Thanks,

Rob Galbraith's testing on CF write speeds was interesting but unfortunatly on CF rather than SD cards.

The speed is obviously dependent on what is being loaded but if all variables are kept constant ie camera/file etc with only the card type changing what would be the result?

Buzz,
With Fuji and Olympus being main players for the new xD card (makes the SM/SD cards look big) that will go to 8 gig in the future and is faster than SM/SD its hard to get excited about SM/SD other than price, warrenty, warrenty provider as thesecards are mainly used in digicams and the digicam being the bottleneck.
