Default Micro SD card with adapter.

Hi, is it ok to use a micro SD card with adapter to use in cameras, or will there be problems ?

I use Panasonic FZ35, thinking of getting a class 10 micro card for occasional 720p video recording and mostly to use it in my mobile fone.

Buying just one, even if it's only for your camera, isn't really a good idea. They're cheap. Buy what you need for each device.

That's the best idea, but I shoot video so occasionally, that dedicating a sole card for this purpose will be a waste. Well, to think now, it's either a dedicated 16gb class 6/10 SDHC for cam (for both still & video) or a cheap 8 gb class 10 multipurpose micro SD. I will decide soon, but, meanwhile please share if there are any known issues for using micro SDHCs in digicams with adapters.

I've had one or two issues with some adapters becoming stuck in cameras- and many of them refuse to work in a card reader- another even froze up my computer...!
I'd steer clear of them... they're a menace...

I have used a class 10 micro SDHC csrd in a full size SD adapter and I noticed that the card is slightly slow in write speed vs just using the full size SDHC straight card when using burst mode. So if speed is your intention get a full size class 10 16GB card they can be had for under $30

Thinking between transcend and verbatim, what do you suggest?

Between Transcend and Verbatim? Transcend.

But I suggest you spend the extra money on SanDisk or Lexar.

Transcend hands down but I have also heard that SanDisk and Lexar are good cards. My main three SDHC cards are all Transcend cards.

Thanks all, I have decided to settle down for Transcend.

TCav, lol you are suggesting all the best options. I am not as much a pro photographer, and @ the price of Sandisk extreme 8gb, Transcend 16gb class 10 is available. But you suggestions were really valuable. Thanks again.
