delete selectively?

Hi, does anyone know if and how I can selectively delete photos off a memory card using LR3?

Thanks
Jen

You can selectively delete photos off a memory card using Windows Explorer.

Thanks, I'm not sure about Windows Explorer? I'll have to google that option. Is this a program I download and is it free? ;)

G'day Wink

Window$ Explorer is the good ol' File Manager that comes with Window$
Put the memory card into your card reader;
Give it a moment or three to recognise it;
Go to My Computer & find the "Removable Device"
Look at - Copy - Delete - whatever all courtesy of Window$

Regards, Phil

It costs (at least) $99 but you also get an operating system free. ;)

Well, I ended up downloading/importing my RAW images to a jump drive and deleted there. I needed to give some second shooter wedding shots to the photog I work for. She wanted me to dump my duds...

Thanks for responding...I'll have to look into this. I hate that I have to import to delete. I would love to be able to view and dump the duds b4 they ever make it to my storage.

I just shot my second wedding as second shooter this past weekend!! ~my shots were hot and cold so I needed to dump quiet a bit. :( I have alot to learn about exposing w/ flash!

I'll save those questions for another thread! ;)

You could always review the images on the camera screen at the end of the wedding and delete the duds/them one by one or depending on your camera select the ones you want to delete and delete the batch before you off load your memory card.

use a card reader to connect the memory card to computer, then you can do things just as you did on computer hard drive.
