Default Olympus X-D Memory Card vs. Compact Flash

Can someone tell me the difference between the X-D Card and a Compact Flash Card. I'm looking at an Olympus C-5060 with several accessories, including a Dane-Elec 128 MB Compact Flash Card. Have a feeling this is not a good brand. Another package offered a 128 MB X-D card (Olympus). Can anyone offer advice here?
I appreciate any help!

You can buy bigger/faster CF cards right now than xD. The price of CF is lower than xD (for the time being.) It's nice that the C-5060 gives you the benefit of using either or both types of cards - plus don't forget about Microdrives - it can use one of them too.
