Default Slide Shows

We do a considerable amount of public speaking and would like to go digital, camera and projector. Don't want to carry a Laptop to do presentations.

We are impressed with the Epson 51C projector and would like to know if there is a way of driving the projector slide shows from a camera?

Are there any other combo options you can recommend that would fit in our $2,500 budget? (projector+camera+?)

Most digital cameras, if not all, come with a video output and a RCA type of cable that you can hook up to a TV/video projector; However, some camera does not allow picture rotation during playback, so you are out of luck in portrait mode.

Iomega made a Fotoshow stand-alone Zip drive (ie no PC required) that can download picture from the camera's flash cards directly, and through the included remote control you can rotate/zoom/edit the picture. The Fotoshow also sports an S-Video jack which will somewhat produce a better picture than the camera's baseband output. The slideshow feature of this unit is totally automatic and is adjustable for both timing, and fade-in fade-out effects, or totally manual...

PS. It can also double as a backup/Zip drive to your flash card/PC via it's USB port !
