Default WA compact flash usable on DiMAGE A2?

Is the DiMAGE A2 able to use Write Accelerate technology compact flash cards?

I can't find this information anywhere.

Thanks,

DJ

thats because it doesn't support the technology. that of course doesnt mean you can't use the lexar pro cards. the tranfer rate of the camera still does not meet the xfr capability of any of the pro cards. WA has become fairly irrelevent now. it was an add on tech that was only supported by a few companies.

i have 3 lexar pro WA cards 1 2gb and 2 1gb cards. none of my cameras support WA. i get them because they back their product.

I agree with sjms, and I get Lexar cards for the same reason. Good cards (not the fastest any more, but still fast) and they stand behind their products well.

Ya, but will it depend on WA (which almost no one supports, but when they do... wow, much faster) or not. I sure hope it's a "not" because WA never caught on.

I found the answer to my question, by visiting the Lexar site, directed there courtesy of B & H Photo's digital photgraphy specialist..
http://www.digitalfilm.com/digfilm/wa_cf.html
has a list of supported cameras:

* All Kodak Professional cameras and pro camera backs, such as the DCS Pro Back 645, DCS Pro Back Plus, DCS 720x, DCS 760, DCS 760m and DCS 14n
* Nikon D1x, D1h, D-100 (Requires camera firmware upgrade by Nikon. See Nikonís web page for more details) and D2h
* Sanyo DSC-MZ3
* Sigma SD-9
* Sigma SD10
* Pentax *ist D
* Olympus E1
* Olympus C5060
Thanks for the assistance.
