I just bought a Sony DSC-W1 that came with a Sony 32MB Memory Stick. Pictures from the Sony MS load on my Sony VAIO Laptop - thru the Magic Gate MS Slot, without any problems.

I also bought a SanDisk 512MB Memory Stick Pro Card that will not be recognized by the Laptop's Memory Stick Slot.

Can someone point me in the right direction, as to how to fix this problem.

Thanks,

Jay

If your VAIO laptop is more than a year old it probably can't read the Memory Stick Pro cards, they're slightly different from the original blue Memory Sticks. You can either buy an external USB card reader or a PCMCIA adapter. Or plug the camera in via the USB cable...

Thanks Steve!

I bought an external USB MSPro Reader and it works fine.
