I just bought a Kingston 512 meg flash card at officemax for $54. Works 100% on 640F for the full length of the movie. No ! at any point.

thanks for the Kingston feedback. yesterday, i tested a regular sandisk 256mb with s1 is and the 640x480 30fps video i captured was flawless. so i just ordered a non-ultra2 512mb sandisk and saved40-50$ which is kinda cool.

I have the first revision of the IBM microdrive 340mB and my S1 Is captured video at 640 resolution with no problem (4 mins, 10 sec). I don't know the specs on the drive, but I would think it would be slower than any CF card on the market.

Anyone know for sure the write speeds?

I use one of the muvo drives and haven't had a problem with vids. I don't think that you really need a fast card to take vids, but you would probably appreciate it when you want to upload them to your PC.
