My first camera was a chinese made Mercury Digital Camera it has a slot for a card reader but I've never used one because the images are stored on the camera. My question is do the current digicams (Canon A80, NIkon Coolpix etc) have an inbuilt memory where images are stored, instead of on the storage card.

I plan to print my images inthe office and so avoid carrying the camera everytime all over the place. So I was planning on buying a card reader which would be more easier to carry around than the camera. So my question is, will the camera start saving images directly to the storage card?
