I would go with Ultra II.

There are some great bargains on the 'net right now on Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash. Per Steve's policies, I cannot give you direct URLs.

Also, I would go with a DPS 9000 battery in lieu of the "standard" battery. This is why:

1. It is portable and could be used with most other digcams.

2. It is Lithium based and thus much less susceptible to cold.

3. You can recharge in your car

Good luck

I have to believe that others have an opinion on this!!! Is the DPS 9000 and sandisk ultra II overkill for a point and shoot guy?????? the DSP looks kinda big and will just add more to the camera which takes away from it being a compact???? I can purchase the regular 256 sandisk for half the price of the ultra II. What should I get???????:?
