This evening I bought a new Pentax Optio 43WR. I am very excited and at the same time I am nervous cuz it is my first digital camera. I will be doing lots of experimenting before my week-long backpack trio in a week and one-half.

I am trying to decide the best SD card for this camera. Would like to hear people's experience with certain brands for SD cards. Naturally I am looking for good quality.

I plan to take lots of pictures and use movies.

Many thanks.

Hi treespirit,
I have a Sandisk Ultra II and Lexar High Speed (12x) SD Card for my 43wr. They both work flawlessly in the Movie mode, although a 256MB card will only capture around 3 minutes of video at the highest quality.
For normal picture taking, just about any SD card will do.
HTH,
NB
