Hmm, J&R is out of stock on them and their price is now $120 for this card. The lowest I see right now (among online suppliers I'd buy from) is on Amazon where they have it advertised as in stock and for $103. So I bought one...

Buy.com now has SanDisk 1GB for $81.99 & 2GB for $136.99. They even have a Viking 1GB for $72.14:

I checked out the Sandisk offering on buy.com. The problem was that it wasn't the Ultra II that was being offered for the 81.99 price - at least I didn't see that it was the Ultra II...

(ps: I just checked out your link and I do see that they have the 1GB Ultra II Sandisk for 95.99! Sigh... these prices just move way too fast... Hmmm, however not currently in stock!)

Any ideas why the steep drop - just a week to 10 days ago the best price was around $130? I know seagate was supposed to be coming out with a 2-gig microdrive for around $150 but I wouldn't have thought it would drive down solid-state so much.

Yeap

There's a price war between SNDK and LEXR for market share since the past quarter!
