Hmmmm....what is the reason for reformat in the camera each time?

I have never had to reformat my Sandisk cards (Smartmedia, Compact Flash, UltraFlash or UltraFlash II).

Here is what I do:

I always use a card reader (not the USB cable):

Currently, I use a Sandisk 8-in1 reader via USB 2.0.

As soon as Ultra II CF is put in the the reader, my XP PC sees the folder.

Then I edit copy, edit paste images from CF to hard drive.

Then edit select all and delete from CF card.

I have not yet had the need to reformat with four years plus of using various media.

Maybe...I am just lucky.

DigcamFan-

Yeah you are lucky. sooner or later you will run into a corrupted registryentry and we will hear you in a different thread -saying something like "What happend".

Reformat in the camera at least every couple of uses- it's cheap insurance !!
