Dear sir ,

would you mind telling me about transcend 60x , what does mean 60x ?

It read 10 Mb/s and write 9 Mb/s with double channel , what do you think about

it ? Is that suitable for panasonic nv-gs200 camcorder ?

DO you know the highest speed SD card and its speed ?

Thank you very much

hami.

Each x is equal to 150kb/second. So, 60x = 9000 kb/second or 9mb/second.

This is the rating you'll see for cards using the same components as the Sandisk Ultra II Cards (which generally test the fastest on most benchmarks). The Panasonic Standard SD cards in larger sizes (256mbor larger)are also rated about the same speed. Simpletech's SD cards in larger sizes are also very fast (these use Pansonic components). I personally trust the Panasonic components more.

Ihave seen Steve (site owner here) recommend Transcend Secure Digital in the past (but I don't have any experience with them).

Panasonic has a new "Pro" series rated at 20mb/second. Sandisk also has a new Ultra III (not Ultra II) rated at 20mb/second. These are just now starting to ship.

As for whether or not your model can take advantage of the faster cards is another story. Many camera models won't be able to use the extra speed (the bottleneck is usuallyin the camera after a certain point with most models).
