What is the maximum capacity Flash card a Canon powershot A60 will accept? It does take a 512Mb, will it accept 1024MB too? Even bigger?
I understand it takes fast cards, only type I or type II too?
Thanks!

Your model does not support CompactFlash Type II. Even if it did, I'd probably stick with Type I anyway.

As for size, I haven't been able to find anyone that's used a card larger than 512mb in the A60 when searching through the forum posts.

However, I did find A70 users that indicated larger 1GB cards worked fine in it. I also found a post indicating that the A60, A70 and A80 models are FAT32 compatible (which would imply support for card sizes over 2GB -- keeping in mind that you'd need a Type I Card).

But, I don't know if the user knew what he was talking about ornot, and I can't find anything on Canon's web site that supports this.

In other words, you'd need to try it to find out. ;-)

Thanks, Jim
I'll give it a shot and let the result know on this forum...
