can a LEXAR 24x 512 MB/24x 1G cf be used in a NIKON 5700?
need help ASAP for purchasing decision.

No problem with that combo at all, it is what we used during our review. I haven't really found any CF card that doesn't work in the cp5700.

Default LEXAR high speed/professional cf buying decision

thnx Steve....
another question now that i've totally confused myself during my research of LEXAR CFs.

some store websites use the term LEXAR "high speed" and other store websites use the term LEXAR "professional".

is the term LEXAR high speed series and LEXAR professional series synonymous or do they mean different ranges? if so, what qualifies as a high speed vs a professional? where does a 12x, 16x, and 24x fit into all of this?

yes, i've read your article on CFs (unless i've missed something).
