Hi,

In the specifications of the Casio QV-R5700 is stated "Microdrive not included". What exactly does this mean practically spoken? Hope someone will enlighten me on this matter. Indeed I am near to buy my first digital camera ever and I have quite some interest for the R5700.

Thanks and regards.

Put simply, it means that the camera can use a micro-drive but one is not supplied with the camera. The Casio QV-R5700 should come with a 16mb compact flash card. This is more commonly known as CF One. The micro-drive referred to is usually known as CF Two. The basic difference is that cf one is solid state with memory chips and a controller withno moving parts, and cf two (micro-drive), again put simply, is like a miniature disk drive. The QV-R5700 can use both types.

Stevekin.
