Anyone know where I can find one of those cards for a decent price (around $100)?

You don't say which form factor ?? To start you off there is a compact flash one here, for $95.95 + shipping

Always check the sellers ratings.

I edited my last post to reflect what appears to be a general dissatisfaction with a lot of their customers. Not B&H, the other one. Try here for SD card.

You will see they are out of stock at the moment but do have a Sandisk Extreme III 1Gb SD card for $114.95

jbauer...if you are fine with another name brand there is an amazing deal on Kingmax 60X Hi Speed 1GB card for about $67. Ask around about this card here in the forum and you will find many believers. I have a FZ20 and this card is more than fast enough to handle burst modes to infinity...10mb/s.

I can tell where you can find Sandisk Ultra II 1G SD.

Tone of the following text : Not snotty.

To state the obvious, I wasn't aware that this was the case. I have seen many a post include what I deemvery helpful information regarding vendors. We all like to be able to spend as little as possible and it is comforting to know a particular vendor is good to do business with. I would have thought that as long as there are no derogatory or slanderous remarks made, then Steve's Digicams shouldn't have a problem. I have cited quite a number of vendors in my posts and as yet have not been 'told off'.

If Steve or a moderator could please clarify the situation, I would be more than happy to comply.

Regards,

Stevekin.

Just read my post again and wanted to make it clear that my first line of the above post in no way whatsoever ismeant to suggestthat I felt Digcamfan was being snotty. I was just trying to point out that I wasn't being. Snotty that is. I've said it before and I'll say it again............ Sometimes it doesn't quite sound on screen like it did in my head. :?

Stevekin,

Don't sweat it. I for one, appreciate the help you gave me, and I didn't read any of your posts as "snotty" at all. I don't know if the rules of the board allow you to post specific vendor info or not, but I did ask...

I STILL haven't found a 1 GB Sandisk Ultra ii SD card in stock anywhere!!! If anyone finds one that is actually orderable, please send me a private note!

- Thanx

Thanks for your comment jbauer, hey keifer, is that you ??

No sweating here, I don't feel I said anything wrong, just wanted to make it clear what I meant, that's all. This is a great site and I wouldn't want anyone to be offended inadvertently. Sorry you haven't found one yet.
