On sale at Staples this weekend for less than $100.00. Any idea if it's has a CF compliant card we can use?

Thanks for the feedback!

If you check the manufacturer's site:

http://www.iomagic.com/Products/show...ProdID=IUSB4HD

you'll see the specs say "rotational speed 4200 rpm" so that means it has a 1-inch hard drive inside. Sorry, I don't know whose it is but suspect it is an OEM Hitachi so no guarantees that it will work in digicam.

Yeah, I checked the specs after posting and compared to a 4g microdrive and noticed the differences.

Oh well, I thought it worth a shot. Thanks for the feedback.

:sad:I bought the Gigabank and ripped it apart to take out the microdrive. It did not worked in my camera. Later on I realised that this is only ATA/ IDE and does not have CF on this drive. Let me know if there is any way I can enable CF on this disk or make some other use of this.

Not surprising since IO Magic and Magicstor are owned by the same (Red) Chinese company (IIRC), hence the use of "magic" in both names.
