Hi all, I have a question about xd cards. I noticed now that SanDisk is making xd cards that look exactly like thethe Olympus and Fuji xd cards. The only difference is the packaging, and perhaps the price, depending on where you go. My question is this, has anyone used a SanDisk, and if so noticed any difference in quality?I see that Costco is having a sale in my area next week - 20% off all cards, could be a good deal, but not if they suck. Thanks!

Yeah, you justbe bloody knee-high in happiness, what with your user name and Brettl, I think I now need reading glasses. I thought you were talking to yourself, or was that Brettl talking to himself :?

Well... I often do find myself talking to myself. Does anyone know if the Olympus card works the same (speed/reliability) as the Fuji? I don't need the panorama function because I owna Fuji S7000. But i have noticed a price difference between the two cards.

Sorry, can't help with your specific request, but what about considering a CF1 card ?

It will widen your options for speed and price.

I have tried to research but cannot determine if the CF I or II cards are as fast as the xd cards. The fuji takes all three

According to this review, the Fuji S7000 is optimised for use with XD cards.

Take note of the 2nd paragraph after the two sets of tables in the section entitled File Write/Display and Sizes.

I used some Transcend 45X CF1 cards in my S7000. They were very fast. They seemed faster than the 256 Meg xD card I also had installed.

I think possibly that, like for like, then the S7000 would perform slightly better with an XD card, according to the review. I don't know if you can get XD cards as fast as the fastest CF cards though.
