Have canon 20d and when I take my card out of camera and insert into the card reader I don't get any option to download pictures. I get a folder that pops up that shows the dcim folder which contains the folders with the pictures. I'm trying to use the microsoft wizard to download the pics, but I can't seem to get the option. I tried to go to properties to set the open with properties but its not there, just a general tab and a sharing tab, nothing for open with Windows xp home

My scanner and camera wizard went away from my XP for a year and I got in the habit of going to my computer and click on the drive that is your card reader, click on the dcim folder and open go to edit click on select all and copy to a new folder in My Pictures. The download is actually is faster than with the built in XP program, assuming it ever works again.

Double click on the DCIM folder.

You will then find another folder with your pics.

I'll try that and check out the speed of the download, also, I got the wizzard back by installing service pack two. Don't know why that fixed it but it did. Just can't figure out these computers sometimes.
