Many problems with memory cards are due to a corrupted FAT (File Allocation Table). Often times, reformatting the card will correct the problems.

If your MP3 player has a menu that allows you to format the Secure Digital Card, try that first.

If not, and if it can act as a removal disk drive (many deviceswill show up as a removable drive under "My Computer" when plugged into your PC), try formatting the card with your PC.

You'll want to make sure you use FAT as the File System Type (since Windows will default to a 32 bit FAT, which is not compatible with many devices). Specifying FAT as the File System Type when formattingvia Windows is a safer bet.

If you have access to a card reader, that would be another way to try and format the card (again, making sure to specify FAT as the File System type).

If formatting the card (via menus in the device is better), or viaWindows (making sure to use FAT) does not work, then you may want to check with the manufacturer to see if they will swap it out under warranty.
