I went to vacation and on the last week the card stoped working. It is an 512mb olympus and my camera is a Fuji S5100. I tried using the SanDisk card reader and it cant find anything like the card is not in there. I also tried using the camera to transfer pictures.

Can anyone help me? It sucks having lost 150 pictures of family and friends that I probably wont see for another 4 years. If there is no way to bring back the pictures is there a way where I can use the card again?

Thanks for you help.

Saban,

Hate to ask a lot of dumb questions, but...

Did the card work properly in your camera before the malfuction? Were you able to upload pics into your PC from the card?

Did you use the card in any other devices other than the camera and the card reader?

Did the malfunction occur while you were taking pictures, did the warning occur after you turned the camera on, or did the warning occur after you placed the xD card in the card reader?

Does the camera work with another card?

Does the card work in another camera?

Try wiping the xD card contacts with a soft, dry cloth, then reinsert into the camera and see what happens.

If that doesn't help, try downloading one or more pic recovery programs...they might work.

Yes the camera worked fine it still does with other cards. I have used the same card many times and even filled it up once and everything worked fine. It cought me off guard. I only used the card in the camera. I bought the card reader when I got back thinking it just might work.

The warning came on when I turned on the camera to take a picture. The night before i took about 15 pictures just fine.

I will try some of these programs tonight.

Thanks for your reply's.
