After ten thousand jpeg shoots I did my first RAW shoot and my CF colapsed (camera Minollta 7D) . I couldnĀ“t format the CF by the camera either PC and no machine detected it. I put a new CF and everything OK (I bought the CF in thebest Spanishshopping center "El Corte Ingles" and after six month they gave a new one). Are there any reason to break a CF using RAW format?.

There are memory cards and memory cards. The RAW format (or any other image format) will not damage a high-quality card at all. But you must stick with a reputable brand name (Sandisk, Lexar. Sony etc.) if you want reliability. Top names may cost more but what price your precious pictures?
