HI. I need a really large memory card for my canon S1 SI.

I am currently using a sandisk 256mb compact flashcard.

I need the most reliable, fastest card out there.

I will be using the card for movies as well as hundreds oflarge format photos.

I will be downloading the photos and movies via the memory card reader [that supports the compact flashcard format I and II] on my XPS 400 Dell computer, running XP Media Center OS.

I will also be going through multiple security checks and customs checks at international airports, so I am concerned about file corruption from x-ray machines, etc.

I have read on other threads that the large 1GB sandisk cards are not read by some media card readers.

I have had no problems with my sandisk 256mb card or the reader on my computer.

Am I better off buying several 256 cards, instead of one 1GB card?

I have a Sandisk UltraII 512MB compact flash card and an ATP 60x 1 GB compact flash card. Have not had any problems reading in a card reader.

I don't usually remove the card from the camera unless its full(600 pics)and am not done taking picturesthen I put the 512 in.
