Has anyone had an XD card go bad?* I have a two-year old one that showed it had the photos on it while in the camera even after turning the camera off for a period of time and then turning it back on to view the photos.* They were there.* However, I went to download them onto my computer and was unable to.* The computer tower did not recognize the card was in there at all.* The printer displayed "card error".* My Flash Trax portable hard drive did not recognize the card was in there at all.* I put the card back into the camera and it read "Card error".

I just bought a brand new Fuji 1 gig xd card to fill one of the two slots in my S9000.
No problems with SanDisk 1 gig Ultra card (CF)
BUT the xd card would NOT do movies (well, useable movies)
AND
the xd card was not recognized by my computer when using a SanDisk multi-reader.
The xd card photos would ONLY go from camera to PC on a direct USB wire.
xd card sucks...

I don't think that's what the OP is talking about. I suspect your problem is that the reader driver needs updating due tothe newer type card (Type M or H).
