I am wondering what are your experiences with the Seagate 4GB Microdrive with a Minolta 5D. I saw a good price on amazon free shipping for around 85 dollars for the 4gb! I saw a thread on pbreview that said it worked on the 5D but there have been issues with it still.
also, how much battery do microdrives drain?

I dont have your microdrive answers, but for the same price you can get a 2gb ultra II card that should be faster, more reliable, and more energy efficient. Sure, you get twice the Mb per dollar with that microdrive, but do you need the space and are you willing to live with the compromises?

I had a Minolta A1 andI bought a 4 gig. microdrive for it on Ebay.

It did not work at first. After an email to the vendor at Ebay, I had to take it to a camera dealer and have it formatted on a Sony camera. After that, it has worked

reliably for me, and it's been over 1 1/2 years now. It now formats and deletes just fine.
