Default More cards added to the Performance DB and a little insight

http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/con...id=7-6131-6132

and for the "my card is faster than your card" crowd the addition of a "card to computer" transfer speed catagory.

vroom-vroom!!!

The link "card to computer" did not work: http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/con...4869-4882#card

... I wonder why he did not try the PCMCIA slot which usually is faster!

i think there might be a little server issue there.

most pros bought into apple early on and the if the went over to the PC the just threw in a adapter card and continued on their merry way. FW was the way to go up until recently with USB2( we don'yt need to get into that). also we're dealing with mostly with base station PC's not laptops. there will be a speed penalty on a laptop due to HD performance differences. small but slower.

True... but most of the times when I do downloads were on location (or on vacation) where a laptop is more readily available...

Unlike most people I download my laptop to the PC using the Ethernet port. BTW even my MindStor is a PCMCIA card adapter...
