Voxmagna, I would like to thank you for all your help and after all you "fixed" my problem!!!! I returned the Memorex reader.got my money back and bought a Dazzle Reader/Writer ,loaded the driver and now I can access my photos! Thanks again!!

....and you get the card recover utilities and the dvd slideshow burner as well!!

BUT my only gripe was no eject button on my model.

Yes you do get ALL that,really a bargain!!! Mine does not have a button either and the LED does not work but I am not planning on snatching the card out while the device is reading,just a little common sense called for.Thanks again !!!

OK, but I get paranoid about a safe eject mechanism when I plug in my 1Gb Microdrive. It's actually a requirement of the pcmcia spec,, but which they choose not to implement it.

I would be too ! My little 128mb card is just about foolproof but I am much more limited than you are with your microdrive. I am still amazed at the size of tose things !! :shock:
