Im going to buy a Fuji S5200. I'm trying to decide what kind of media to buy for it. I want a gig of memory. I see on tigerdirect some pretty good deals. I see a type H card of a gig for $57.99 and I see a type M card of a gig for $54.99 and then I see just a gig card for 69.99. What is the difference between these cards and will they all work onthe S5200. Thanks for you time and helpl.

The difference is that the H class chip is 2X+ faster than the M class chips. at www.olympusamerica.com they publish a list of their cameras that can use the H class XD cards/chips. I would assume that Fuji does the same thing.

BTW www.outpost.com has the 1gb H class chip on sale for the July 4th holiday at 29.99+shipping.

I also found the 1gb Class H XD card at Fry's as well. Keep in mind that Fry's is associated with www.outpost.com. Fry"s price was $34.95, which is about what it would cost for S&H from www.outpost.com.

The Class H XD chips work just fine in my Fuji F-30 camera.

Almost certainly will.

The compatability page over at Fuji does not list the S5100 as an exception and neither does this page.
