Default Lost Photos

We just returned from a family vacation to Euro Disney. My wife has a Coolpix 5000. She took 162 pictures using a 256 MB compact flash card made by hama. When we tried transferring them to our computer we received the message"card contains no images" , but the images were there previously. Then we tried to take a couple more pictures just to test the card and we got the message "out of memory". Maybe the photos are still there but we can't access them. Anybody have a suggestion other than crying over lost memories?

Email me and I will send you a recovery program to try and retrieve the pics.

Yesterday evening when I tried to shoot with my A60 it showed a memory card error and all the images that I had stored in it were lost. I checked the manual which said in such cases you can try re-formatting. I tried that and when I did a format it gave me the following error ->E50. What does this mean and how do I rectify this? Also, the 16MB CF card now shows a memory of only 3.8MB. Please help me out with this problem.

Can I anyway make the CF card work?

regards,

That recovery progam is AWESOME. The same thing happened to me, and I got all of my pics back. It was simple to use also.

Can you give me the URL to AWESOME?

Can I recover the pics and the CF card using this software through my computer itself or do I need any card reader to get this done?

Thanks in advance for your help.
