I have a Microtech USB CameraMate Flash Card Reader/Writer and need the XP drivers but the link on steve page brings me to nothing and so does Microteck web page.

Do yourself a favor and spend $20-30 for a modern card reader with fast USB 2.0 support and no need for any drivers - you'll be ahead of the game. The CameraMate willmake a great paperweight for your desk.

It won't matter, it will just be slower until you get a new computer

Or you can buy a USB 2.0 PCI card and have 4 USB 2.0 ports available, than buy a new multi card reader and your set for the next ten years ...

... or maybe this link will help you out
