I'm currently shopping for ND and CP filters and I notice that Adorama sells Hoya filters in Amazon for less than they do in their own site (~$10+ difference per filter). However in their Amazon store they didn't specify that it's a "glass filter".
My questions are: Are these the same exact filters? Does Hoya even make non-glass filters? Thanks for any input. |

Looks like Hoya doesn't even make uncoated CPL filters, standard filters have signle layer coating

Thanks for the link, I'll add them to my bookmark as I already made my purchase.
Just to update this thread. I went ahead and bought four filters at Adorama's Amazon website. I bought a Hoya CP and Tiffen 3-stop-ND @ 52mm and 62mm. The whole thing with shipping cost $86. Not bad. The 62mm Hoya CP cost $54 at Adorama's own website, but only $24 in their Amazon store. $30 difference! The 52mm CP was $11 cheaper, so I saved $40 just by buying at their Amazon store! I made the purchase on Wednesday and got it today. Peace. |
