There are so many good programs out there it is impossible to name one that is "better" than all the others.

My favorite is PMView. http://www.pmview.com

free trial, special effects, slideshows, convert anything to anything etc. etc.

For PRINTING, though, it's gotta be QImage!

Remember, you don't need ANY program to load files from a memory stick or CF card. Windows Explorer or other disk management programs will read your memory like a "removeable" hard drive.

Hint: if you store your files into a directory like @Photos the directory will always be at the top of your directory tree. (Easy to find!) You can create subdirectories beneath that by date, trip name, subject matter etc.

Try IrfanView.

Photoshop Elements 2.0 is very nice too. Amazon has it for 89 bux, and there is a $30 rebate for users of rival software.

Default Check out CompuPic

My preference is CompuPic. It allows me to quicky crop, adjust exposure and saturation, and remove redeye with just a few clicks, and you can make thumbnailed web pages of your photos in just a few minutes. As stated above, we all have our different preference, so try out the different ones suggested and make your choice.
