a small mechanical device, that automatically presses the trigger
to make a picture every 10sec or such or a small electrical device that interrupts contact every 10sec how is it called in English, how to find it with keyword-search permanent video with ~20 pictures per sec. takes too much memory e.g. for determining the positions and tiings that someone slept at night |

What you're describing is called an intervalometer. Some cameras have them built-in, but most don't. Twenty pictures per second is quite a lot, and faster than most cameras can do. If you want to record someone's position over the course of their night's sleep, you'll have a lot of pictures that don't show any change. A typical video camera can do what you want, but, still, that's a lot of images to sift through. If you just want to record the movements, most webcams can record images whenever movement occurs, so that might give you what you're looking for.

thanks.
costs ~$50 http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?LH_BIN=1&_nkw=intervalometer&_sc=1&_sop=15& _sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m301 but not mechanical and only works for a special camera, not universal I was thinking at just a small clock-quarz-chip or such to be wired to the camera-snap-button or a mechanical device, powered from the camera-battery to pressure the snap-button (English?) every 10sec |

Most cameras can't take photos at 20 frames per second anyway. What you could do is set the camera on continuous shooting, connect a wired remote, and lock the shutter button. The camera will take photos as fast as it can until the memory card is full. Would that do what you want?
Are you sure you want 20 pictures per second?

pressing the button mechanically,permanently (rubber-band)
is a good idea for ~1 photo every ~5 sec. But the camera must have a modus where this is recognized as a new signal to make a new photo. Usually it won't. |

If the camera has a burst mode or a continuous drive mode, then holding the shutter button down will cause the camera to take photos as fast as it can.
The only digital still camera I know of that could shoot at least 20 pictures per second was recently discontinued.
