Can anybody tell me if a small, day trip type of case exists for the P80? I want something small, over the shoulder similar to a small point and shoot case. I don't want to lug a big case around for quick trips/sports events/fishing and so on. Just something small and protective. Got any ideas???

Suggestion: Decide what you want to carry in the bag, camera, spare batteries?, charger?, filters?, auxiliary WA or tele lens?, additional memory card?, table-top tripod?
Take the desired equipment to Wal Mart/Target/Best Buy/favorite camera store/etc. and get it tagged at the door. Find the bags that are sized to hold your equipment then look at the sturdiness of the shoulder strap, attachment hardware, zippers and general construction. You should be able to find the optimal bag for your needs. Really no P&S camera system including your P80 makes the kind of strength demands on a bag that are made by a DSLR system. I've had completely satisfactory service for the last 20 mos. from $20-$25 Wal Mart bag that carries my Kodak Z612, charger, four changes of batteries (two rechargeable, two non-rechargeable), four SD memory cards and a table-top tripod. The bag is about 9"x8"x7". A. C. |
