I'm seeking advice on buying a 72mm flurescent filter for my Canon 28-135mm lens.
At a Dahlia fair, I took some great photos except the coloring was too far off for my liking, even after post-processing. I was not using any filter, and used a tripod and no flash. On Amazon.com I see a variety ranging from very cheap to very expensive. I was wondering if there would by any noticible differences in quality between using the difference brands (ie. degradation of picture quality and effectiveness). I see brands such as tiffen, hoya, opteka... I'd prefer not to spend a fortune, but also would be willing to spend abit than I'd like if it would really make a difference. Also, if there's any place online other than Amazon that I should look, I'd appreciate any advice with that as well. Thanks for your time! |
Have you tried setting your custom white balance to flourescent?? Most color correcting filters have been rendered not necessary through the use of custom white balance and/or shooting RAW.
