:?Hi
So weve got our cds full of digi photos AND yesmanaged to name folders to house different aspects BUT there is a lo of work listing what you have on your CD does anyone know of aprogram that reads and lists your cd content i a text format really appreciate any reklevant info regars  |
I used to do this some 10 - 12 years ago when I purchased my first Dual Speed CD Burner (Remember Those Anyone?).
I never used a program, I used the command line to do a list to a text file. It has been many years since I did that and I do not remember the actual command I used to do. I will screw around and try to figure it out, if I do, I will post it here. -Chet- |
Ok, the command I would use is this:
dir f: /s >list.txt This will create a text file named list in the directory you ran the line. F: is your CD drive (enter the letter that refers to your drive) /s referswill include all subdirectories I hope this works for you! -Chet- P.S. You can always type dir /? for help information in regards to the dir command. |
On Macintosh there is a program called CD Finder, which creates a searchable directory of the contents. I don't know for sure, but I'll bet there is something similar for PCs.
