Default Comparing different brands of LCD protectors

...still waiting a backordered Canon A70, and having lots of time to think...

...I wonder if any of you experienced digcam folks can describe the differences between available styles of LCD protectors and comment on why you might prefer one style over the others.

Best I can tell is that there are at least two basic styles - 1) a relatively thick inflexible clear panel which attaches over the LCD to the back of the camera with velcro strips http://www.daproducts.com, and 2) micro-thin polymer sheets that presumably 'self adhere' to the face of the display http://www.lcdprotector.com.

First thought is that the thin polymer sheets might be the best choice if they fit properly and if they hold up, but never having seen/used one I just dunno.

Comments/advice on preferred style would be greatly appreciated.

daprotector will protect your LCD from breakage. The micro thin film will only protect it from scratches. I use the daprotector on all of my cameras and love them.
